Technical Infrastructure Requirements for Freestyle Skiing
- Timing Building – Ski Cross SX 3 x 4 = 12m2
- Judges Stand - Halfpipe HP 3 x 10 = 30m2
- Judges Stand - Aerials AE 3 x 10 = 30m2
- Judges Stand - Moguls MO 3 x 10 = 30m2
- Start Device – Ski Cross SX
Freestyle Skiing Start Area
- Each start area needs to have a flat space (@ 0 degrees) of at least 150 m2 to 200 m2.
- Two sections are required, one separate Start Area 100 m2 and one Competitor / Team Preparation Area 50 m2 to 150 m2.
- There needs to be fixed (easy) ski runs or trails from the top of the ski lift to the Start Area.
- More than one event can end in the each Finish Area.
Freestyle Skiing Finish Area
- Finish Areas are @ 0 degrees (flat).
- Moguls (MO) Aerials (AE) Finish Area = 25 meters wide by 30 meters long @ 0 degrees.
- Ski Cross (SX) Finish Areas = 25 meter wide x 60 – 70 meters long @ 0 degrees.
- Ski Cross (SX) Finish Surface Area = 1,500 m2
