On-Hill Protocol | 1. Accident – near start
2. 1st responder is ski patrol stationed at start 3. 2nd patroller and medical technician will arrive at accident site. 4. Treatment and assessment provided. 5. Evacuation to Ambulance and transfer to appropriate medical centre. 1. Accident – near finish area 2. Patroller, medical technician & national team physician/medical staff respond at staff 3. 2nd patroller descend from knoll to accident site. 4. Treatment and assessment provided. 5. Evacuation / Transport to Ambulance and transfer to appropriate medical centre.
1. Patients transferred from event ambulance to hospital. 2. In cases in where Government Ambulance is not available or situation is life threatening, medical personnel will advise for transport via event ambulance. 3. Choice of medical centre will be based on acuity of injury and consultation with Event CMO. | ||
On-Hill Protocol – | 1. Accident – on course
2. 1st responder by patroller at closest point to the accident. 3. If immediate ancillary medical assistance is required, snowmobile will transport medical personnel to top of course and proceed to accident site. 4. Treatment and assessment provided. 5. Transport to base Ambulance 6. Transfer to appropriate medical centre. | ||
Crowd / Public Protocol | 1. Medical technician and Ambulance crew will respond as primary responder for cardiac arrest or similar medical emergencies.
2. SMG patrol staff will manage minor injuries for crowd/public. | ||
