“Bewegte Stadt” is a project initiated by the German Ski Association to sensitize children for snow sports at an early age. The project offers snow sports activities for everybody free of charge in the midst of the city - from just playing in the snow in order to become familiar with the "material" to alpine skiing down hills in the city.

Overall Focus

  • Sensitizing children for snow sports at an early stage
  • Minimizing introduction barriers by offering snow sports facilities close to home and free of charge
  • Improving children’s motor function (movement ability) and introducing them to a healthy and environmentally conscious lifestyle
  • Providing an integration process for families with a migratory background
  • Enthuse families for snow sports
  • All day high quality child care

Target Group

  • Children from ages 3 to 6
  • Families
  • Seniors (for volunteer work)

  • Ski industry
  • Deutsche Skijugend
  • Deutsche Sportjugend
  • Stadt München (City Munich)
  • Stiftung Sicherheit im Skisport (SIS)
