38 The Sub-Committee for Freestyle Rules and Officials


38.1 Purpose

  • to present viewpoints and proposals to the Freestyle Committee for the improvement of the competition rules or other measures having to do with the International Competitions Rules;
  • to present viewpoints and proposals to the Freestyle Committee for the improvement of the supervision and the control of Freestyle competitions;
  • to elaborate the wording of the rules and supervise the wording of new editions of the International Competition Rules in collaboration with the Freestyle Committee;
  • to improve international Freestyle judging;
  • to supervise and to instruct the activity of the Technical Delegates and Freestyle judges and to test and approve new officials;
  • to conduct technical seminars for Freestyle Technical Delegates and judges with the approval of the Freestyle Committee and the Council;
  • to nominate in collaboration with the FIS Headquarters the Technical Delegates, officials and judges for all international competitions with the exception of World Ski Championships and Olympic Winter Games.

38.2 Constitution

Maximum 7 regular members, including the Chairman (exceptions please see art. 5.1).

38.3 Meetings

In principle once per year.
