Chief of Timing and Scoring

Job Descriptions

Responsible for all matters relating to competition time keeping, Start and Finish areas. Responsible for set up and operation of the timing system including the testing and trouble shooting

  • directs the work of the timing group personnel,
  • supervises the performance of the electronic and manual timing officials and start/finish officers,
  • assesses needed/number of officials and volunteers and communicates such to volunteer coordinator,
  • coordinates timing functions and start/finish layouts for each competition with chief of competition,
  • coordinates electronic and hand timing volunteers and professional scoring staff,
  • responsible for the coordination of officials at the start and finish including timing, calculations, and judges scores
