2.1 The FIS World Championships in the Alpine, Nordic, Freestyle and Snowboard events are organised every uneven year.

2.2 FIS Ski Flying World Championships are organised every even year.

2.3 In order to have the FIS World Championships carried out under the best possible snow conditions the Alpine events should, in principle, be organised in the first half of February, the Nordic events in the second half of February and the Freestyle and Snowboard competitions between mid-January and mid-March (southern hemisphere: July/August).

2.4 Cancellation In case there is not sufficient snow on the courses, the FIS World Championships will be cancelled. If necessary FIS will organise a snow control 14 days prior to the first official training day to determine whether or not it is possible to carry out the competitions.

2.4.1 Any competitions that have to be cancelled for any reason during the Championships will not be carried out after the Closing Ceremony at a later date or at another site. The event(s) will be cancelled without replacement.
